ATX – tacos, two stepping, and tequila – Texas’s state capital has a lot going on.  I got to adventure through Austin and the surrounding hill country and want to share with you some of the incredible hot spots.

1.) Jacob’s Well, Wimberly Texas – Cannonball into the 120 ft. deep natural well!

2.) Pioneer Town, Texas – Be a tourist and get the feeling of a town from the old west!

3.) San Marcos River, San Marcos, Texas – Rising from the aquifers, this spring fed river is home to endangered animals and plants.  Grab a tube and float amongst all of the wildlife.

4.) Hamilton Pool, Dripping Springs, Texas – By far my favorite place to visit, this natural pool is beyond words.  Watching the water fall into the natural green pool surround by caves was magical.

5.) Downtown Austin, Texas – The architect in me was obsessed with the Texas State Capitol Building.  On the other hand I couldn’t help but be in awe of the plethora of bars on sixth street.

6.) Mount Bonnell, Austin, Texas – You cannot beat this view of the Colorado River!  Plus you have an incredible view of downtown Austin.

7. + 8.) Gruene Hall, New Braunfels, Texas – Take two-stepping to another level.  Gruene Hall is the oldest run dance hall in all of Texas.  They have hosted some incredible artists here and you can’t help but imagine all of the history from this place.
